Filling down in OO Calc

Hi all
Could anyone give me the instructions on how to fill down a formula in a column with increments for each row
Formula example is
=SUM(D2:AM2) and I need to fill in 400 rows in a spreadsheet and put this formula in column C with an incremental formula going into each of the 400 rows.
I have tried to do this but the same formula has appeared in all the 400 rows without any increment and I do not want to have to redo each of the formulas row by row.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

So how did you try?

Three ways:

o Enter your formula in the first cell.
o Click in the cell to return focus to it.
o See the "fill handle" - the small square at the bottom right of the
cell? Grab that with the mouse and drag it down the relevant rows.
The spreadsheet will scroll as necessary as you do this.

Or:

o Enter your formula in the first cell.
o Go to Edit | Copy (or Ctrl+C) to copy the contents of the cell.
o With the first cell having focus, scroll down the spreadsheet to
the bottom of the required range and Shift+click there to select the
whole range.
o Go to Edit | Paste (or Ctrl+V). The Paste function will
automatically adjust the formulae.

Or:

o Enter your formula in the first cell.
o Go to Edit | Copy (or Ctrl+C) to copy the contents of the cell.
o With the first cell having focus, scroll down the spreadsheet to
the bottom of the required range and Shift+click there to select the
whole range.
o Go to Edit | Fill > | Down.

I trust this helps.
