I've updated the patch to apply properly with the current head of trunk
and I've also included the beginnings of a functional test, with a single
positive test and a handful of error-testing tests.

For the time being, I intend to concentrate on functionality and
correctness, and on building up a regression test suite. Later, I
hope to address the performance aspects of the ROLLUP operator.
