[jira] [Reopened] (CELIX-109) Remove SVN information for download page

Alexander Broekhuis reopened CELIX-109:
---------------------------------------

While I agree it is a good idea to remove the SVN info from the Release Download page, I do think it should be mentioned somewhere.

People interested in the latest work should be able to download or browse the source from SVN. Also, with the removal of the SVN download info, all the SVN links are also removed, those should also be available somewhere.

Is it an idea to add a new top level menu item specific for developers? The "release" page can then also be moved to this menu.

> Based on comments during a celix release:
> By putting a link to SVN on a
> 'Downloads' page (and both above the fold and above the releases that
> have been voted on) you seem to be encouraging normal users to consume
> from SVN. Your releases (that have been voted on and approved by the
> IPMC) are what you should be pointing the public to.
