[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4516) gsoc2012 Apache CMS project
gsoc2012 Apache CMS project
---------------------------
Key: INFRA-4516
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4516
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Wish
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: CMS
Environment: FreeBSD, Solaris (ie, zfs based OS).
Reporter: Joe Schaefer
The CMS is a really a system of applications stitched together,
mostly based on perl and python. The Django-template based
UI could use some beautfication work (basically css, js and html),
and the entire CMS should be productized so other organizations
can adopt it in a sensible way. Essentially that boils down to
some kind of (perl+python) installer script and corresponding
documentation.
See http://www.apache.org/dev/cms for info on the CMS design,
http://www.apache.org/dev/cmsref for details on the implementation,
and https://svn.apache.org/repos/infra/websites/cms for the codebase.

-------------------------------------
Twitter bootstrap might be useful for cleaning up the UI.

just visit https://cms.apache.org/ and provide
user "anonymous" with an empty password.
