SAX Parsing truncates a string containing XML document longer than 8K.
Summary: SAX Parsing truncates a string containing XML document
longer than 8K.
Product: Xerces2-J
Version: 2.0.0
Platform: Sun
OS/Version: Solaris
Status: NEW
Severity: Blocker
Priority: Other
Component: SAX
AssignedTo: xerces-j-dev@xml.apache.org
ReportedBy: asikka@yahoo.com

Hi,
I am using the SAXParser to parse a string containing an XML document. Since
the parse() API takes only InputSource, so they i way i am invoking the parse
method is :
StringReader sr = new StringReader(myString); // myString contains the XML Doc.
parse(new InputSource(sr));
What i observe is that, at the 8K boundary, there is a problem in the parsing.
Eg: characters() method returns without parsing the complete value enclosed in
the <> tags.
This problem is really stopping me to proceed with my assigment. I don't want
to store the string in a file and the parse it, because of performance
constraints. So, any help on this is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Avnish
