what does IPD refer to? ie how to fix table error re IPD

I am getting an error using FOP 0.20.3

[ERROR]: At least one of minimum, optimum, or maximum IPD must be
specified on table.

What does IPD refer to?
That is, how best to fix this?

It means "inline progression dimension", or "width" for
the average western european ("height" for guys who
write in columns instead of lines).

It depends on what you are trying to achieve. Either
specify an absolute width for each column, or a width
for the whole table.
