Xalan/Xerces with Microsoft VM

There seem to be major problems when using Xalan/Xerces with the 
Microsoft Java VM (build 5.00.3194). It works for many documents, but 
on some (in particular those with tables) it simply fails to produce 
output.

I cannot find any statements on running Xalan with MS JVM in the  
release notes, so I would like to ask whether this is a topic at all 
for the developers. If it is, I can supply test material.
