Email Integration in Mifos

Hi:

One of the main features that we need in terms of customer communication is email that we need to integrate in Mifos.

There are two services that we need to enable at a minimum:
*      Send a daily email to all of our subscribers about his available balance.
*      Send a monthly email with the statement attachment to all of our subscribers.

The email service can be configured from System -> External Services -> Email Service Configuration.
However, we do not know how to test if this email service configuration is working.

In System -> Scheduler Jobs we see the following  job schedules but do not know how to configure the emails or the text of the emails:
*      Execute Email
*      Update Email Outbound with Campaign Message
*      Execute Report Mailing Jobs

Looking forward to any inputs on making these work.
