[ApacheDS] - fonts on OSX cut off

Hi folks,

On M13 of ADS (and M9) on OSX the fonts in the attribute/value panel are cut off at the bottom. This has been the case for as long as I can recall, but I’m currently on 10.13.3 on an iMac 5k. See attached screenshot for an example. Note the attribute that is highlighted is supposed to be reqOid but it’s difficult to tell. You can also clearly see it in the ‘y’ of modify in a few places. All the other fonts (output logs, left nav panel) look fine, it’s just the attribute window.

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks,
Chris

I'm posting via NNTP/Gmane which cuts off the better part of the config. I've
mailed it to you, though.

Scaling to 1680x1050 works for me just fine as well, fonts are not cut off at
the bottom, either.

Same.

Version: 2.2.2.v20170301-0400
Build id: M20170301-0400

Can you attach the Configuration ? (In apache studio installation
details, Configuration tab)

I have the same Mac, with display scaled to looks like 1680x1050 (the
choice before More space).

And I don't have the Appearance choice in preferences... This is weird !

This is what I see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LHU3sdHpCM on my MacBook
Pro 15" Retina (2880x1800) with standard monitor settings (not scaled for
larger fonts or more screen estate)

Are you using the Eclipse plugin, or the standalone application ?

I can guarantee you that on my Mac, OSX 10.12.2, with the standalone
application, I have the exact same problem and I don't have a way to
configure the fonts through the preference.

Interesting. In my copy of Studio M13, I can exactly do that from General ->
Appearance -> Colors & Fonts... (on High Sierra 10.13.3)

And I do not remember having seen the issue in the first place, either.

Hi Chris,

yes, this is annoying. I have the exact same issue on my mac. As we don't
add the 'appearance' feature in the preference, we can't change the font's
size and type.

What you can do to have a better visualization of the entry's content is to
pick the LDIF entry editor, instead of the Table entry editor. You can do
that by changing the order in which editors are picked in Preferences ->
Apache Directory Studio -> LDAP Browsers -> Entry Editors and move up the
'LDIF Entry Editor' to the first position.
