   @jasonpet - small question about the following error message
   ```reject(sendError(400, 'At least one of filter or query_params parameters must be supplied'));```
   is a query parameter valid without a filter?  i thought not, but the `or` in that message seems to allow it.. although this may be a scenario i'm not familiar with.
