I just checked this with the latest CVS code could not reproduce this assert
using the version of birds.xml and birds.xsl we ship with any of the samples.
Can you verify which birds.xml and birds.xsl version you used?
Also, pasting documents into the bug report is a problem, because it is
difficult to recover the exact document. Attaching documents is a much better
option. Please attach a copy of birds.xml and birds.xsl, if these versions are
different from what we ship.
Lastly, please check your compiler revision level, because there may be patches
that you need to apply. Here's what my compiler version looks like:
$ CC -V
CC: Sun WorkShop 6 update 2 C++ 5.3 Patch 111685-02 2001/09/18
There have been numerous patches to the the Workshop 6 compiler, which have
fixed many bugs.
