[jira] [Resolved] (LOG4J2-473) Allow the use of log4j 1.2 appenders in log4j 2.0

Ralph Goers resolved LOG4J2-473.
--------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

I don't see the point of leaving this open as I'm not planning on implementing this and I seriously doubt anyone else will.

> Project: Log4j 2

> I understand that this is complex, as I've tried to implement it myself using a wrapper class: it would indeed require translated various 2.0 classes to 1.2 equivalents in order to properly send the log event.
> However, it would be a very important contribution: projects like Hadoop use lots of custom log4j 1.2 appenders, and as it stands they cannot be used with 2.0 because of this.
