CXF 3.3.6 Web-socket on Karaf 4.2.8

Dear community,

this  CXF web-socket example
<https://github.com/apache/cxf/tree/cxf-3.3.6/distribution/src/main/release/samples/jax_rs/websocket_osgi>  
is not getting a WS connection with the js client returning a 404. There
were posts regarding this issue in the past, but I found no working
solution. I would like to have just framework handling all of my JAX RS and
WS.

I wanted to put this issue on the mailing list of CXF this morning and after
booting my dev computer and trying to reproduce the error, the websocket
example is suddenly working. This is frustrating and i will try to see if i
can get it to fail again and why.
