Currently we only have one level of authentication. Access control (QPID-416) will limit access however given a shared managed installation of Qpid we may wish to provide different and complete separate authentication per virtualhost. However, having made some initial changes to allow this flexibility the AMQProtocol does not provide the virtual host information early enough in the connection process to allow the selection. Discussion with the AMQP-WG will be required to see if this is an improvement we can pursue.
