using uima for lemmatization


hi ,
 m new to UIMA. Solr doea not have lemmatization  component, i was thinking of using UIMA with solr  for this. 
Is this a correct choice and if so how i would go about it any idea? 
I see couple of links for solr uima integration but dont know how that can be used for lemmatization 
Any thoughts?
