Re: Word documents don't open but say "DELETED"

Maxim, quick question for ya. When I launch a room and open up a PDF document it comes up no problem but when I open up a word document I get a big red X (see attached) and it says DELETED. Would you know the cause of that? I don't see anything obvious in the log files, but then I am not sure what I am looking for. Thanx.

Excuse me if I jump in, but I did have the same problem and solved it
with Alvaro's suggestion to put in the configuration/office.path key
/opt/libreoffice4.4/ (in my case) instead of (as I would have expected)
/opt/libreoffice4.4/program/

You may give it a try.

BR, Andrea.

you are right :(
it cannot be created via admin
I guess it can be created via "contacts and messages" and via calendar, but
calendar room will be listed only for a period of time

Got it working, finally. Problem is I am not sure what fixed it because it appears that the document files are created when it is uploaded something I did not find out until yesterday. Re-uploaded another file and it was working then tried to load the original and it was not so I remove and reloaded and then it started working. Something to consider, the development team might consider creating a diagnostic option which will check common things and make sure they work, mail, jodconverter, etc.

How do I fix this and I guess the other thing I am wondering is why this happens with word docs but not PDF (I take it they are handled a little bit differently).

It appears that the file is not readable:

How do I fix this and I guess the other thing I am wondering is why this happens with word docs but not PDF (I take it they are handled a little bit differently).

you need to check the log:
1) search for java -jar ..... jodconvert .....
run this in command line
fix the issue,
run again
etc.

Maxim, quick question for ya. When I launch a room and open up a PDF document it comes up no problem but when I open up a word document I get a big red X (see attached) and it says DELETED. Would you know the cause of that? I don’t see anything obvious in the log files, but then I am not sure what I am looking for. Thanx.
