   Hi, this is Thomas, member of the [Vert.x project](https://vertx.io/) team. I am mentoring @lucifer4j as GSoC student, working on a Pinot Client adapter for Vert.x.
   
   This PR is interesting to us because we could get rid of the `Future.get()` blocking calls.
   
   Any idea when the PR will be merged?
