I'm a bit confused why you're removing all of the javadocs that Simon
spent so much time writing.   I can understand the usefulness of
putting a reference to the official javadoc specs, but it's far better
to have the documentation that Simon wrote plus the reference than it
is to have only the reference!

I didn't see Simon's and Geir's messages (on legal?), and you didn't
repost them on this list, so it's kinda hard to comment on that topic.
