[GSoC 2026] Proposal Interest: Wayang-AsterixDB Connector - Tanya Rai

Hi Wayang Community, I am Tanya, a 2nd-year CSE student. I’ve been
studying the Wayang architecture and the SQL++ syntax for AsterixDB. I
am currently drafting my proposal to build the AsterixDBPlatform and
the translation logic for core operators (Filter, Project, Join).

I have already submitted 2 PRs
[https://github.com/apache/wayang/pull/721] to demonstrate my
familiarity with the build process. I would love to share my initial
mapping logic for feedback soon! Thanks, Tanya.
