How do I prevent javadoc to include subdirectories

Is there any way to run javadoc for a single directory but not for it's
subdirectories?
However I don't want to name each single subdirectory explicitly, since I
don't want to change the build script everytime a subdirectory gets added,
renamed or deleted.
