Hello there.

You have to install and configure Apache FIRST then install PHP. I did this 
on my Windows machine and I also have a Red Hat Linux box with the same 
config (Apache PHP and mySQL on WIN, Apache PHP and Oracle 9.2 on Linux). It 
works fine.
