[jira] [Created] (DAFFODIL-2402) TDML language should support xsi:type annotation of infoset for double and float, perhaps more.

Mike Beckerle created DAFFODIL-2402:
---------------------------------------

Summary: TDML language should support xsi:type annotation of infoset for double and float, perhaps more.
                 Key: DAFFODIL-2402
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DAFFODIL-2402
             Project: Daffodil
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: TDML Runner
    Affects Versions: 2.7.0
            Reporter: Mike Beckerle

The TDML runner currently accepts xsi:type annotations on infosets and does type-specific comparisons for date/time/dateTime types.

This should be extended to allow at least double and float types also, and possibly other types.

For integers it doesn't matter much, but perhaps for decimal (trailing zeros issues).
