Question on configureAndWatch


   We are having an issue with the configureAndWatch routine when we modify
the log4j.properties file, the log that is currently been written to is
zero'd out and overwritten when a change is detected. Is this the correct
behavior? I did not notice in any of the documents or discussions of anyone
else having this issue. 

   We are currently running log4j 1.2.4 with WebSphere 4.02 on AIX 4.3.
