[jira] [Commented] (MARMOTTA-658) Importing external data with specific timestamp

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MARMOTTA-658?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15833489#comment-15833489 ]

Cristina commented on MARMOTTA-658:
-----------------------------------

It would be really convenient to use Marmotta to import multiple data dumps that have been generated with different timestamps. This feature becomes really useful when one wants to, for example, download all the data dumps generated by the Wikimedia Foundation. They are all downloaded and imported at once, but they have been generated with different timestamps. As far as I understood, Marmotta has the feature to look up entity descriptions at a certain point in time, but versions are only defined based on actions that happen in the data store and not based on externally defined timestamps.
