Newbie to Qpid!
Hi,
I am a newbie learning and getting upto speed on Qpid, AMQP etc. I am
interested in contributing to qpid project.
As a starting point i have been browsing through qpid documentation etc. I
was able to build and run both java and cpp parts of qpid with few minor
glitches.
At present I am going through QMF tutorial as described at,
http://qpid.apache.org/qmf-python-console-tutorial.html.
There is lot for me to learn and as i am getting started and learn things i
noticed there are few things that could be documented for future newbies.
Looking forward to your support and working with the community.
Btw, what do i need to do to get rights to qpid wiki? I would like to update
or document things as i learn.

Thanks Martin and Steve. I will start looking into docbook files. Any good
pointers on doc book getting started?

Welcome,
We are on the verge of moving to docbook for the majority of our
documentation. This means it is much easier for you to contribute as
you can attach a patch of the xml file to JIRA.
So if you are interested in documenting then acquainting yourself with
our docbook files would be a good start.

hi, all.
i have recently started working on the Java broker. i'm a JEE
developer with security consulting and pen-testing experience, which I
would like to put to use improving/adding Qpid security features.
i'm currently trying to implement version two of the broker ACLs, as
in the C++ broker currently, and would appreciate any ideas,
suggestions or direction as to how ACLv2 should be implemented for
Java. i'll post my current thoughts in a separate message to the list,
as well as something on qpid-users, too.
cheerz,
adk.

Hi,
I've sent some info to the dev list generally which will hopefully be of use
to you.
Can you tell us a little about you - your name and if your interest is
mainly QMF ?
Thanks,
Marnie

You can't edit the wiki directly. I encourage you to open a jira account
at http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/qpid then return there and open
a new jira (report) for issues that you encounter. You should attach
patches to your jiras and be sure to check the "license to Apache" box
when attaching changes.
Thanks,
-Steve
