4.3.0 to maven
Hi Guys,
I was wondering when do you plan to release 4.3.0 to maven?
my akka tracing project relies on the fixes for 4.3.0 and now people have
to build that version themselves.
for reference this the PR:
https://github.com/FindHotel/akka-stream-trace/pull/2
(doesn't work since it's not released yet)
is there anything I can do?

I think the C changes were just exposing additional APIs, so there
should be no backwards compatibility implications.

Had a chance to look at this in more detail. From the Java side we should
be safe to do 4.2.1. From the C side... I don't know what kind of
guarantees we offer there. Looks like addition of APIs, but I don't know
what C communities and users expect.
Colin and Masatake - since you were involved in the change, can you comment?

I don't have a strong preference between 4.2.1 and 4.3. I wonder what
you guys think?

I can make time for running through the release next week. Any unresolved
JIRA issues will be bulk moved to 4.4 on Monday with this plan.
I'm assuming somebody had already done the check on whether this needs to
be a full 4.3 or can sneak in as a 4.2.1? Seem like we have a chance to not
increment version number if change set is small and bug fix only.

We haven't made an official 4.3 release yet. I think we should,
although a lot of us are busy on other Apache projects at the moment.
Any interest in picking this up, Stack, Mike, et al?
It looks like the main fixes were HTRACE-393 to the zipkin connector,
and some stuff with htrace-c. I also remember having a discussion about
including the sub-millisecond granularity timing patch in the new
release, although maybe we should push that off.
