Minutes: JDO TCK Conference Call Friday September 12, 9 am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)

Posted by Craig L Russell <cr...@oracle.com>.
Attendees: Michael Bouschen, Craig Russell

Agenda:

1. JIRA "Support for conditional operator ? : in JDOQL": https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-650

Any objections to including the proposed syntax in the JDO standard? We would need a specification update and a TCK test case. AI Michael post a BNF patch. AI Craig post update patch for specification (description, single string JDOQL, filter, having, and result).

Are there already existing DataNucleus test cases that could be modified for the TCK?

2. New Comment on JIRA "Allow makePersistent outside a transaction": https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-589

The JIRA was updated to see if we are reaching consensus.

3. New Comment on JIRA "Specifying NULL elements positioning in ordered columns": https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-721

No objections to adding this to 3.1. The change seems easy enough.

4. JIRA "Modify specification to address NoSQL datastores": https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-651

No news.

5. JDO 3.1

Looks like candidates for 3.1 include 721 and 650. What about 589?

6. Other issues
