[jira] [Commented] (IGNITE-3624) Provide API to get the size of the cache in bytes

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IGNITE-3624?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15413419#comment-15413419 ]

Alisher Alimov commented on IGNITE-3624:
----------------------------------------

[~vkulichenko], LRU calculates memory size only for first tier storage, I think that it's will be more transparently if method will return memory size for whole cache or may be add option to method like at IgniteCache#size(CachePeekMode)

> Sometimes it's useful to know how much memory cache objects consume. We can add {{memorySize()}} method to {{CacheMetrics}} and calculate the value in the same way as we do in {{LruEvictionPolicy}}. This works only when cache statistics are enabled.
