[PR] perf(manifest): clone binary partition stats only for new extrema [iceberg-go]
fallintoplace opened a new pull request, #1954:
URL: https://github.com/apache/iceberg-go/pull/1954
## Summary
- **Less copying:** Binary and fixed partition stats now compare values before cloning.
- **Keep ownership:** A byte slice is cloned only for the first value or a new lower/upper bound.
- **Same bounds:** Retained partition bounds still own their bytes.
## Benchmark
On Apple M1 Pro with Go 1.26.3, measured over 10,000 entries per operation:
- **Repeated 16-byte values:** 400,001 B / 20,000 allocs -> 240,018 B / 10,001 allocs
- **Cycling 64-byte values:** 880,004 B / 20,000 allocs -> 242,049 B / 10,032 allocs
## Tests
- `go test -timeout=5m` across all packages except `io/gocloud`
- `go test -race -timeout=5m . ./table/...`
- `golangci-lint run --timeout=10m`
