## What changes were proposed in this pull request?
Implemented the changes I described in [KNOX-2956](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-2956).
## How was this patch tested?
Updated and extended JUnit tests.
Executed manual testing in a live CM-deployed cluster and confirmed my topologies were generated with the proper content with CM service discovery enabled.
