reg hadoop streaming
Team,
Does streaming mapper/reducer have such capability of sending heartbeat to
notify the jobtracker?

Yes, I think so. The TaskTracker that launched the mapper and reducer in
the child JVM which further invoked the streaming process can (and does)
communicate with the JobTracker.

Yes, I think so. The TaskTracker that launched the mapper and reducer in
the child JVM which further invoked the streaming process can (and does)
communicate with the JobTracker.
