Disable username assumption

Hi,
Is it possible to stop the svn client from assuming the username of the
logged in user?
We have our configuration files stored in subversion, so I frequently do
svn ci as root, forgetting to pass the --username option - root has no
access so we have to press enter on the first password prompt in order
to get a username prompt.

This is irritating because it wastes (albeit a small amount) of time,
and creates erronious entries in the access log.

Multiple people may use the root account to make changes, so setting the
username in the configuration file isn't practicle either.

Is there anyway to prevent the client from assuming the username and so
force it to prompt?

If not then I will submit a feature request.

Chris

I don't think we have that feature in the client-side runtime config.
It would be a good one. Please do file an enhancement request in the
issue tracker, and point to this mail thread from the new issue.

Thanks,
