[ANN] NLucene 1.2b released

Version 1.2b of NLucene has been released, and is available at

http://sourceforge.net/projects/nlucene

NLucene is the .NET implementation of the Lucene high-performance, full-featured text search engine written in Java.

Best regards,

Hi,

Great job!

I have converted my ChineseAnalyzer, ChineseFilter and
ChineseTokenizer for Lucene to work with NLucene too.
All in C#.

I wonder if you are interesting in that.

Cheers!

So is this really a one-for-one port to C# or is it some sort of a
wrapper around the lucene's original jar file?
If it's C#, I'd be curious about any performance comparisons between the
Java and the C# versions.

Dmitry.

+1 - I agree with Jon. Kinda crass to GPL a direct port of apache code.
Certainly you're free to do so, but
the statement above is very descriptive of my personal perspective on
the matter.

Secondly, you're probably going to run in violation of your Licenese
agreement for .NET. I don't
know if they've covered it yet:
http://news.com.com/2100-1001-268889.html?legacy=cnet but I wouldn't
hold my breath.

Sucks balls that your implementation is GPL.
