-------------------------------------------------------
I'm experiencing the same problem with Derby 10.10.1.1 - sometimes. Here's a link with more details: https://github.com/cloudstore/main/issues/10
I'm using Derby with DataNucleus and first there occurs an error concerning a duplicate column (which does not exist at all in this table ["repofile"], though!!!):
Caused by: org.apache.derby.iapi.error.StandardException: Column 'PARAM1' already exists.
at org.apache.derby.iapi.error.StandardException.newException(Unknown Source) ~[derby-10.10.1.1.jar:na]
at org.apache.derby.impl.sql.catalog.DataDictionaryImpl.duplicateDescriptorException(Unknown Source) ~[derby-10.10.1.1.jar:na]
at org.apache.derby.impl.sql.catalog.DataDictionaryImpl.addDescriptor(Unknown Source) ~[derby-10.10.1.1.jar:na]
My software then closes the connection (shutting down the DataNucleus PersistenceManagerFactory AND Derby with ";shutdown=true" appended to the connection URL) and then retries the process.
During the retries (more than once!) the "No current connection." exception occurs (again and again - retrying multiple times seems not to help).
The error happens only very rarely on our (pretty slow) build server (GNU/Linux [Ubuntu server 12.04] with Oracle JDK 7). It happens far more often on my (very fast) notebook (GNU/Linux [Kubuntu 13.10] with OpenJDK 7).
