Different application threads concurring the same region file.

The environment of the enterprise use jboss clustered on two machines and offer a standarized folder for applications resource files, like files uploaded from the user and, now, for the regions files for JCS indexed disk cache.
Same applications had problemns because files in one cluster are not visible from the other cluster. To solve this, the responsible team decide to use a common directory for both clusters.

The JCS allow to use fewer threads than active regions. But no more than it. I like to know if there are any problem if there are clustered application threads concurring the same region file.
