[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-528) Support for Apache SOLR REST APIs

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-528?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15517285#comment-15517285 ]

Kevin Risden commented on KNOX-528:
-----------------------------------

I've been playing with Knox proxying Solr on and off for the last two months. Since Knox 0.7.x+ has support for HA and that allows specifying multiple URLs, this means you can easily proxy Solr requests with Knox with a service. The solr folder in the repo has an example service. The only thing left is fixing the rewrite rules for the Solr admin UI (should be easier now that https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/KNOX/Proxying+a+UI+using+Knox has been created this week).
