[jira] Created: (DIRSTUDIO-657) Send batch operation output directly to file

Send batch operation output directly to file
--------------------------------------------

                 Key: DIRSTUDIO-657
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-657
             Project: Directory Studio
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 1.5.3
         Environment: Windows 7 64-bit, 6 GB RAM
            Reporter: Aleks M

Directory Studio is great and has many useful features, one of them is the batch operation which allows us to create an LDIF file for modifying many tens of thousands of entries.

The issue is that after creating the LDIF which is actually very fast Directory Studio wants to display the result which can take alot of time when we are dealing with so many entries.

It would be nice if we could tell Directory Studio to pipe the output of an Batch Operation directly to an LDIF file when selecting Generate LDIF, maybe there should be an option Generate LDIF to file?
