Is it possible to register a directory as a single entry

Hi,
Is it possible to register a directory as a single entry with associated (user provided) metadata?
I have a directory (e.g. /opt/data/collection1/ ) and associated metadata in a file called /opt/data/collection1.met.

I would like to make a single entry in the database with metadata that refer to the directory (and not the contained objects).
Is this possible?
Trying with file manager and options —productStructure Flat did not work and complained that
java.io.IOException: Source '/opt/data/collection1' exists but is a directory

Furthermore, I would like not to transfer the directory and its contents to the archive place but simply make an entry for this object.
How can this be achieved from the file manager?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Konstantinos,

Try using ProductStructure Heirarchical, and also make sure if you are
using the Crawler that you set --crawlForDirs and --noRecur as enabled
options.

HTH and let me know if that works!

Cheers,
Chris
