Going forward with Windows

Can someone fill me in on what the plans are for Windows? In 2.9, there was support for Windows, Windows Phone 7 plus Windows Phone 8. When 3.0 was released, all that was included was Windows Phone 8. Now I know some things got dropped because of time constraints, but can someone share with me what the official plan is?

Will Windows 8 be added back as a supported platform in the 3.x timeline? What about support for Windows 8 Pro or Windows RT?

I am expecting to tag/package Windows 8 Cordova along with everything else
in 3.1
I have added:
- plugin breakout ( all of them except Contacts as there is no Contact
store on the device )
- plugins install/uninstall with plugman
- plugin permissions added/removed from manifest
- project create script
- project level build/clean/version scripts

The missing pieces are the run/install/debug commands, currently you will
need to open visual studio to run your project.
As Parashuram points out, you can expect more attention here, as MS Open
Tech steps up their involvement. I am excited to have help here.

The team from Microsoft Open Tech is looking at helping in this area soon. We spoke with Jesse and the first thing we will be working on would be helping with the command line tools.

Hey John, unless we find more than Jesse to help I doubt we could graduate
Windows as a full fledged platform. I'll let Jesse extrapolate what that
would mean.
