[jira] [Comment Edited] (INFRA-11183) Release Apache Flex's iOS app on Apple App Store

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-11183?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15127289#comment-15127289 ]

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what I plan to do in terms of release process. Let's tweak as needed:

 - I will assume the release manager task
 - Create a new App ID on iOS dev portal
 - Add a few devices to the ASF dev account for adhoc testing of the app (I might need your help with this)
 - Create a mobile provisioning file for the app id containing the approved devices
 - I will create the binary on my machine using Apache's iOS dev certificate and the mobile provisioning file
 - I will NOT sign the binary with my PGP key because we are not going to deploy it on dist.apache.org as it is explicitly forbidden in our agreement with Apple
 - Start VOTE and DISCUSS threads
 - Adhoc testing to approved devices (beta testing) More people might want to join the testing process. We will need to go back and add more devices, rebuild, etc.
 - Once vote passes, submit app to appstore
 - After approval, set release date
 - Release on iOS app store!
