[users@httpd] DYNAMIC_MODULE_LIMIT, mod_log_bytes.c

Dear Apache Gurus... I get a hard apache shutdown/restart approximately
every 2.5 hours. Any clue why? My Server is configed like this:

Apache/1.3.22 (Unix) mod_perl/1.26 mod_log_bytes/0.3 PHP/4.1.1
mod_bwlimited/1.0 FrontPage/5.0.2.2510 mod_ssl/2.8.5 OpenSSL/0.9.6b
configured

My error logs say this:

[Tue Mar 4 10:11:27 2003] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:27 2003] [error] Cannot remove module
mod_log_bytes.c: not found in module list
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:27 2003] [error] Cannot remove module mod_php4.c: not
found in module list
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:36 2003] [error] Cannot remove module
mod_log_bytes.c: not found in module list
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:36 2003] [error] Cannot remove module mod_php4.c: not
found in module list
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:36 2003] [error] Cannot remove module mod_rewrite.c:
not found in module list
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:37 2003] [notice] Apache/1.3.22 (Unix) mod_perl/1.26
mod_log_bytes/0.3 PHP/4.1.1 mod_bwlimited/1.0 FrontPage/5.0.2.2510
mod_ssl/2.8.5 OpenSSL/0.9.6b configured
[Tue Mar 4 10:11:37 2003] [notice] Accept mutex: sysvsem (Default:
sysvsem)

Here is the loadmodule section of my httpd.conf file:

# Example:
# LoadModule foo_module libexec/mod_foo.so
LoadModule rewrite_module libexec/mod_rewrite.so
LoadModule bwlimited_module libexec/mod_bwlimited.so
LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so
LoadModule bytes_log_module libexec/mod_log_bytes.so

# Reconstruction of the complete module list from all available modules
# (static and shared ones) to achieve correct module execution order.
# [WHENEVER YOU CHANGE THE LOADMODULE SECTION ABOVE UPDATE THIS, TOO]
ClearModuleList
AddModule mod_env.c
AddModule mod_log_config.c
AddModule mod_mime.c
AddModule mod_negotiation.c
AddModule mod_status.c
AddModule mod_include.c
AddModule mod_autoindex.c
AddModule mod_dir.c
AddModule mod_cgi.c
AddModule mod_asis.c
AddModule mod_imap.c
AddModule mod_actions.c
AddModule mod_userdir.c
AddModule mod_alias.c
AddModule mod_rewrite.c
AddModule mod_access.c
AddModule mod_auth.c
AddModule mod_so.c
AddModule mod_setenvif.c
AddModule mod_ssl.c
AddModule mod_frontpage.c
AddModule mod_bwlimited.c
AddModule mod_php4.c
AddModule mod_log_bytes.c
AddModule mod_perl.c

And I'm also using Cpanel.Net's software (Web Host Manager 6.0.0 build
94). I'm in a Venturesonline.com NOC near Denver, CO.

Any clue why Apache is dying & reviving every couple of hours?

Thanks // Paul

Thanks Bill... will this line in my httpd.conf file do the same?

You are probably being hacked against your OpenSSL support... you should
be at 0.9.6e at the bare minimum, better to be at 0.9.6i.
