Hypersonic wrapper for Avalon aware containers.

Folks,

Could we move http://jakarta.apache.org/avalon/apps/apps/hsql/index.html to db.apache.org ?

We (Avalon team) are currently trying to eliminate sub-projects that are not pertinent to the core
aims of the Avalon project. This is a candidate, as it is a specialised adaptation. It works, is
used by projects outside of Apache and is fairly neat. All that happens to it is the infrequent
update of the hsqldb.jar that it wraps.

Regards,

- Paul

hsqldb is some custom open (rather than free) license :

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/hsqldb/hsqldb/src/hsqlServlet.java?rev=1.2&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup

Hosting this within the hsql project may help us avoid the somewhat thorny
GPL/Java issues this seems to introduce as well.

Andy,

Could do. I am a committer on that project. I often encounter some resistance to the second jar
creation scenario or the additional import needs (Avalon-Framework). I'll give it a go..

Not trying to start trouble, just asking. Have you considered donating
it to the hsql project? I mean then the jar wouldn't have to
be updated.
