Getting added to the contributor list

Hi!

I’m using Kafka in my everyday work, and want to start start contributing. If I understand it correctly, I need to be added to the contributors list in order to assign a Jira issue to myself? If this is correct, can you please add me to this list?

My Jira username is: aurlien

Thanks!

Best regards
