[jira] Closed: (TAP5-33) Upload component display client validation bubble if required, during browsing for file

Howard M. Lewis Ship closed TAP5-33.
------------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Looks like the fix for TAP5-25 took care of this; clicking the browser button may fire a blur event on the upload field, but now validation is based on the focus event on the next field. Slightly different semantics.

> Project: Tapestry 5
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: tapestry-upload
> Affects Versions: 5.0.15
> Environment: Windows XP Pro - IE6/7
> Reporter: Finn Kennedy
> Assignee: Howard M. Lewis Ship
> Priority: Trivial
>
> After you click the browse button Internet Explorer (6/7) pops up the client validation dialog "You must provide a value for File", and highlights the input field during the browsing for a file (i.e. while the Choose file dialog is open). The dialog and highlighting disappear if focus changes (if file was selected).
