Camel 2.1 with Servicemix 3.3.1
I've been using Camel 2.0 with a patched version of the servicemix-camel.zip
file. Is there a patch available for Camel 2.1 yet?
thanks...

After more than two years development SMX4 is production ready.
Here are some discussion about the ServiceMix 4.1 release[1]
And Fuse ESB 4.1 RC1 will coming out soon.
You may try the Apache ServiceMix 4.1 first, and consider to use Fuse
ESB 4.1 for production :)

As for SMX 4, what is the current state of this project...is it production
ready? I've been waiting for the Fuse ESB 4.2 release to finally evaluate
the SMX 4 platform...not sure what the ETA is on it.

If you can't wait for the servicemix-camel new version release, you can
build the serivcemix-camel.zip yourself.
checking out the code , and updating the camel version, then typing mvn
clean install .
You will get servicemix-camel.zip you want from the target directory.
BTW, if you move to ServiceMix 4.x , it will be much easier for you to
upgrade the camel version. You just update the camel feature file version :)

Willem, thanks...but its the "I think" part that worries me. If someone
knows of a somewhat stable/proven way to patch the servicemix-camel.zip
file, please let me know.
This issue provided the patch that I used for Camel 2.0...I'm hoping there
is an equivalent patch for 2.1...

Also, according to this post from Claus...there are a lot of relevant
features that I'd like to take advantage of...xpath performance, improved
startup, exception handling, etc...

Here is no much changes on the servicemix-camel since Camel 2.0 released
unless the management API.
I think you can just need to replace the servicemix-camel zip with
camel-core , camel-spring and commons-management-1.0.jar to get
servicemix-camel work again :)
