I've committed to trunk code that will track modifications in a sufficiently detailed way that we can diagnose the cause of any failures of this kind in the future. r1465655 . The code must be enabled by setting the property org.apache.manifoldcf.diagnostics to DEBUG. Otherwise it works as before.
