   BTW here are two blog posts that explain how to use user defined indexes with parquet (both in the file and externally):

   If you would like to propose a change to the parquet format, we should raise a ticket / discussion in the parquet project. This crate is not likely to accept features that are not in the parquet spec itself
   
   
   Thus I think we should close this particular issue as not planned
