Regarding How To Implement Download Chart As PDF Option

Hello Superset Team,

First off, we would like to express our appreciation for Apache Superset –
it’s an outstanding open-source product, and everyone values your work and
support.

We’re currently working on building reports and would like to incorporate
an option to download charts as PDFs. Could you please guide us on how to
implement this functionality? Is there any specific setting or
configuration that needs to be added or updated in the superset config file
or elsewhere?

Alternatively, if we need to modify the code to enable the "Download as
PDF" feature for charts, could you advise on which Git version to use, as
well as the appropriate versions of Node.js and React for making these
changes?

Looking forward to your guidance.

Regards,

Gyan

Hello,

I think your best starting point would be to visit the Superset GitHub repository and search pull requests for "PDF". Look at both open and closed ones. That should give you a sense of what work has been done in this area as well as what is underway.

From there you might consider asking follow-up questions in the Slack chat that is open to anyone.

Best,

Sam
