It looks like you can now set the remote in typedoc: https://github.com/TypeStrong/typedoc/issues/1130 and docs at https://typedoc.org/guides/options/#gitremote. We should probably set that option in https://github.com/apache/arrow/blob/master/js/typedoc.js and then you don't have to mess with the remote.
