[jira] [Resolved] (LUCENE-7162) geo random tests still have reproducibility issues

Robert Muir resolved LUCENE-7162.
---------------------------------
       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 6.1
                   master

I'm marking this as resolved. If there is some concerns about loss of test coverage for points then I think we should beef up indexwriter/codec tests instead of making these harder to debug. They aren't ideal for debugging any issues caused by multiple threads, and using threads makes them not-ideal for debugging any actual bugs in what they are supposed to be testing.

> I am trying to remove some tricky test leniency/fix rounding issues in our geo fields, but it is frustrating when failures don't always reproduce.
> Often they now do, but sometimes they still do not.
